Rock masses generally contain many fissures filled with weak materials. At present, the interaction mechanisms of crack coalescence and seepage in rock are still poorly understood. Therefore, this study conducts systematic laboratory tests on sandstone samples two under hydromechanical coupling conditions. The influences fissures, filling, ligament length, bridge angle strength, fracture pattern, permeability explored. results show that strength properties weakened more significantly by than water pressure. increase induced fillings is remarkable either a longer length or lower angle. Unlike for mud sand most particles crushed after loading, reflecting bearing capacity filling fully utilized. Thus, has greater effect does. Furthermore, failure double-fissure can be divided into five modes. With exception high angle, undergo modes change existence fillings, long low sensitive to type. weakening associated mode, it “wing cracks + indirect coalescence” cracks + direct other samples.
